How did BIC Bands Start?
These amazing headbands started all as a fundraiser for the owner, Sandy's, run with Team In Training. She was looking for a way to raise the necessary funds to run her first half marathon. She had started to make some handy dandy headbands that didn't slip~ friends said they'd buy them, so she decided to try her hand at making and selling them. Her small little venture began and she started sewing. She donated the profits to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. OVER $1000 was raised through the sale of BIC Bands!
Because BIC Bands were such a hit after her race, she decided to keep making and selling the bands, and keep giving back to those in need!
While Sandy sewed for the first few years, the business has grown so much that she brought on an amazing team of local women to sew. Each and every BIC Band is still made by hand in sunny Southern California!
What does BIC Bands stand for?
BIC Bands = Because I Can Bands! We raise funds because we can…for those who can’t so that one day they will!
From the beginning days of making BIC Bands for Sandy's run with Team In Training, giving back has been at the heart of the business.
Each month we donate from the sale of every band to a different charity.
A headband that doesn't slip? Seriously????
SERIOUSLY!!! The magic lining of these little guys stick to your hair. And as an added bonus~ they're soft and stretchy, working hard to not give you a headache!
How should I wear my BIC Band?
To get your BIC Band on, start on your forehead and pull it down and around your neck like a necklace. Fix your hair into place and then pull your BIC Band up and into place.
The best place for your BIC Band is close to your hair line. If you try and push your BIC Band too far back, the BIC Band can start to slip. If in doubt closer to your hair line!
